Education Background
He achieved his BSc degree in Biology (1997) from Anhui University, China, his MS degree in Botany (2004) from Zhejiang University, China and his PhD in Crop Genetic Breeding (2011) from Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), China.
Research Area
He has been engaged in gene/QTL mapping and rice marker-assisted selection (MAS) breeding in China National Rice Research Institute (CNRRI) since 1997.
He was the leader of 3 province-level and 1 institute-level research projects. He has participated in multiple research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the National High-tech Research and Development Program, etc.
He has achieved 3 awards of Science and Technology Progress by Zhejiang province, 2 awards of Science and Technology Progress by CAAS and one award of China Agricultural Science and Technology for Outstanding Innovation Team. He has developed 2 new rice varieties, got 6 China invention patents and published more than 50 scientific papers.
