Education Background
Fu Qiang, an Agricultural Entomologist, received his BSc degree (1990) in Agricultural Insect from Nanjing Agricultural University of Nanjing, China, and his PhD degree (1999) in Agricultural Insect and Insect Pest Management from Zhejiang University, China.
Research Area
He was the leader of the Group of ESA (Environmental Biosafety Assessment) of transgenic rice and IPM of rice of CNRRI, the principle scientist of the Research Group for rice IPM of the Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Program (ASTIP) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), and the vice-Head of the Environmental Safety Supervision and Inspection Center for Genetically Modified Plants in Hangzhou, Ministry of Agriculture of China, and the Research and Development Center of Rice Production Technology of CNRRI. He has published more than 80 scientific papers.
