Research Area

He is the leader of the Hybrid Rice Breeding of Two-line Method at State Key Laboratory of Rice Biology of CNRRI. He is working on hybrid rice breeding of two- (photoperiod and thermoperiod sensitive genetic male sterile line, P/TGMS system) or three- (cytoplasmic male sterile line, CMS system) line methods for combining in Hsien (indica) and between Hsien and Keng (japonica) subspecies, and studying on genetics and gene mapping of diseases, insects, rice quality and some special agronomic or morphological characters.
