Faculties and Students from University of New England Visit CNRRI

On 25 June 2019, faculties and students from University of New England, Australia visited China National Rice Research Institute (CNRRI). Their research areas or majors vary from Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business Management and Agricultural Technology Extension. Personnel from Program Management & International Cooperation Division and relevant Centers met with them.
After briefing the visitors CNRRI’s introduction and its rice research development, Dr. Luo Ju, deputy chief of Program Management & International Cooperation Division, introduced to them the institute’s progress in international cooperation and future cooperation strategies. Students raised questions about rice production constraints, environment-friendly rice systems, technology transfer methods, farmers’ net return and rice overseas import situation in China.
During their stay, visitors also visited CNRRI affiliated State Key Laboratory of Rice Biology and Rice Product Quality Inspection & Supervision Testing Center of MOA. Some of CNRRI developed varieties were introduced to them through field visit.
