GIZ Delegation Visited CNRRI

On 25 July 2019, a delegation organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) visited China National Rice Research Institute (CNRRI). Members include staffs of GIZ and representatives from agriculture or rice sector of four West African countries, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Mali. Personnel from Program Management & International Cooperation Division and relevant Centers met with them.
During the meeting, Dr. Luo Ju from Program Management & International Cooperation Division introduced to the delegation about CNRRI’s basic information and its recent progress in international cooperation. After that, representatives of CNRRI had an in-depth discussion with the GIZ delegation about China’s experience in rice science & technology that can be applied in Africa, as well as cooperative mechanisms of the three sides concerning rice industry chain in Africa.
During their stay in CNRRI, delegates also visited State Key Laboratory of Rice Biology and Rice Product Quality Inspection & Supervision Testing Center of MOA.
