Research Area
Zeng has been working on rice genetics and breeding since 1994. His research field covers the discovery, genetic dissection and utilization of favorable genes in rice germplasm, especially in molecular breeding on grain yields and grain quality. He has developed two inbred/ hybrid rice varieties with great progress of his research on molecular design breeding. He has published more than 50 scientific papers on different academic journals including PNAS, Plant Molecular Biology, Theoretical and Applied Genetics, etc.
