CNRRI Scientists Pay a Visit to Venezuela

June 11st, 2015

At the invitation of National Rural Development Institution of Venezuela, six CNRRI scientists, headed by Deputy Director General Li Ximing, visited Venezuela from May 25th to June 6th. The purpose of the visit is to verify the feasibility of rice cropping in Orinoco Delta, Venezuela through site investigation, sampling analysis and comprehensive research.

Amitha P. Bentota visits CNRRI

June 5th, 2015

June 3rd, Dr. Amitha P. Bentota, Director of Rice Research and Development Institute, Sri Lanka paid her first visit to China National Rice Research Institute. Director General Cheng Shihua met with the guest and extended welcome. Both parties attended a meeting and exchanged views on consolidating further collaboration.

CNRRI Strengths Cooperation with Pakistan

March 23th, 2015

China National Rice Research Institute (CNRRI) delegation conducted a scientific visit to Pakistan from March 9-13, headed by Deputy Director General Hu Peisong. The mission was to promote cooperation with its counterpart in Pakistan, and an MOU was reached by Hu, Atta-ur-Rahman, the founder and lifelong patron of International Center for Chemical Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi, and Fayyaz Ahmed Siddiqui, the CEO of Tissue Culture Technologies International (TCTI).

FNCA Experts Visit CNRRI

January 29th, 2015

On January 28th, experts from FNCA (Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia) paid a visit to China National Rice Research Institute as one of the workshops arranged by the 4th International Symposium on Germplasm Innovation & Molecular Breeding and FNCA Open Seminar on Mutation Breeding for Sustainable Agriculture.

CNRRI delegation visits Thailand

December 31st, 2014

At the invitation of Thailand Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, China National Rice Research Institute (CNRRI) sent a delegation to Thailand for technical exchanges during December 22nd to 26th. Delegates included CNRRI Party Secretary Fang Jun and other 5 experts in the fields of rice cropping, genetic breeding, crop protection and rice economy.
