Kenyan President visits China National Rice Research Institute

On August 22nd, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta visited China National Rice Research Institute (CNRRI) in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Ohio University of the U.S.A. Delegation visits CNRRI

During 17th to 19th May, Ohio University Delegation with 23 staff including teachers and students came to visit CNRRI in accordance with the schedule of CAAS Graduate School.

State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China (SAFEA) Named CNRRI National Demonstration Institution of Introducing Foreign Intellects

January 18th, 2013

Recommended by Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of Zhejiang Province, and reviewed by the Judging Committee of SAFEA, CNRRI was named “National Demonstration Institution of Introducing Foreign Intellects” for the first time. Nationally, 17 institutions were selected in 2012. CNRRI was the one and only institute chosen in Zhejiang Province.

Cheng Shihua attends 22nd International Rice Committee(IRC) Meeting

December 4th, 2012

Director General Dr. Cheng Shihua attended the 22nd IRC Meeting at the headquarter of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations(FAO) in Rome during 28th- 30th November 2012. IRC,set up in 1949, is a specialized committee under FAO, committing to promote collaborations among member countries in rice production, storage, sales and distribution, and cosumption(except for international trade).

Hu Peisong meets with guests from Service Center of Studying Abroad of MOE

On October 31st, Deputy Director General Dr. Hu Peisong met with Deputy Division Chief Ding Li from Service Center of Studying abroad of Ministry of Education (MOE), and with Deputy Division Chief Dr Ding Lin from Department of International Cooperation, CAAS.
